Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in the daily kitchen operations and menu planning.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
Maintain inventory and order supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Implement food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean kitchen.
Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills.
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items.
Manage kitchen schedules and ensure timely meal service.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Passion for farm-to-table cooking and creativity in the kitchen.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
