Okto is looking for a talented, motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen and wants to grow within one of Houston’s top Mediterranean restaurants.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
Strong cooking techniques and understanding of Mediterranean/Israeli flavors (a big plus)
Ability to lead, train, and support the kitchen team during service
Passion for quality, consistency, and organization
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
Responsibilities:
Support the Executive Chef with daily prep and service
Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and presentation
Help manage inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization
Lead cooks during service and ensure smooth execution
Contribute ideas for specials and menu development
Schedule: Full-time, evenings and weekends required Compensation: Competitive, based on experience Location: Okto Mediterranean – Houston, TX
