We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This position requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste through effective stock control.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a full-service restaurant.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
Familiarity with banquets, including event planning and execution is a plus.
Excellent leadership skills to inspire and guide kitchen staff effectively.
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
