Position Overview:
The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, leading the culinary team, ensuring consistency and quality, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and lead the kitchen team during service
Supervise and coordinate food preparation and production
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards
Assist in menu development and recipe testing
Train and mentor line cooks and prep staff
Manage inventory and ordering under the direction of the Executive Chef
Maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture
Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in kitchen management in a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Deep understanding of kitchen operations, prep, service timing, and station management
Ability to train and motivate a team with professionalism and respect
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain)
