As a Sous Chef, you will be the right hand to our Executive Chef, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day culinary activities, mentoring kitchen staff, and ensuring that each dish meets our high standards for quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Help develop and refine menu items, ensuring creativity and excellence in every dish.
- Monitor food inventory and place orders as necessary, maintaining cost controls and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage events and private dining experiences.
- Train staff on proper preparation techniques, equipment use, and sanitation practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and industry innovations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
