Finance Director

SUMMARY
The Finance Director is charged with all financial operations of the company. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Finance Director works in conjunction with the Executive Director and other management and program leads to ensure processes and procedures are following GAAP and State and Federal guidelines, all while minimizing risk and exposure and maximizing return.
The Finance Director guides the general accounting processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting. The Finance Director is primarily responsible for annual cost reporting to the state, annual budgeting, annual audits, and monthly financial reporting and analysis, in addition to grant writing and reporting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks. Direct the timely reporting and analysis of the company’s monthly/annual financial performance.
Report on the financial condition of the company to the Board of Directors monthly.
Coordinate and complete the annual budgeting process.
Develop, lead, and manage the business office team and the functions of internal/external reporting, general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, program rate setting, intake, front desk operations & medical records.
Establish, maintain, review, and enforce company’s internal control policies.
Manage the annual financial audit for both South Central Human Relations Center and Youngdahl Development through direct coordination with outside accounting firm.
Manage annual 401K Audit through direct coordination with an outside accounting firm.
Maintain company’s banking and investment relationships and coordinate movement of funds for best profitability.
Oversee the company’s billing functions through the Carelogic billing/medical records system.
Direct all company tax /regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
Monthly/quarterly monitoring of grant funds and quarterly reporting to applicable agencies.
Financial partner for grant writing and application.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Various projects and tasks as requested, or needed, by management or others.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial leadership/management role.
Strong analytical skills.
Broad knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding leadership skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of Excel and it’s functions
Knowledge of Intacct Accounting Software desired
Knowledge of Carelogic software, or other electronic medical record system, desired
Ability to work effectively independently and as a team.
Wage
Wage Range of $102,00.00 to $ $115,000.00 Annually
