    Our mental health agency is currently searching for a knowledgeable, experienced professional to fill the position of BILINGUAL PARENT PARTNER.

    For more than 30 years, SCCS has provided care, counseling, coaching, and essential mental health services for children, teen, young adults, and their families. As specialists in the field of mental health, SCCS employees possess diverse professional skills equipping us as a team to treat each client’s unique needs.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the caregivers of clients in order to engage them in the treatment process. The Parent Partner operates from a consistent focus on strength-based, natural resources and family voice and choice. They also provide resources to the family in order to support the treatment progress of the client. They offer more intensive support to caregivers as needed to sustain the safety and placement of the client.

    PARENT PARTNER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

    1. Orient caregivers to the assigned program.
    2. Assist in the development, scheduling, and facilitation of Child and Family Team Meetings. 3. Model the principles of wraparound to families, colleagues, and community members.
    3. Attend resource fairs, community partner meetings, and TDM’s as assigned.
    4. Maintain current knowledge of local resources available to families and assist in resource distribution.
    5. Work individually with caregivers in a Parent Partner capacity, as assigned by Supervisor.
    6. Complete progress notes on all client/caregiver interactions. Submit well-written progress notes according to timeframes set by Program Director.
    7. Assist with intakes and referrals for potential new clients.
    8. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Has a child or family member who has received services through CFS, Probation, or Specialty Mental Health.
    • A minimum of two (2) years Full-Time Equivalent experience (in an employment or volunteer capacity) in delivering services in the mental health field. This includes personal experience with the services for an emotionally / behaviorally impaired person through the County’s Welfare Services, Probation, or Mental Health System.
