We are looking for innovative Data Scientists with a passion for finding meaningful patterns and insights in large datasets. The Data Scientist shall provide support, guidance and execution for database modeling, methods and strategies for integrating data, governance, extract-transform-and-load (ETL) services, data conditioning, metadata and standards, data protection and security, data transport, records management, and advanced analytical methodologies. The DS works with other engineers and analysts to understand requirements and constraints and develop and implement solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Experience extracting and aggregating structured and unstructured data along different dimensions. Knowledge of analytic methods and methodological tools such as applied mathematics, computer programming, and data visualization.
• Experience with data programming languages and tools such as Python and R.
• Ability to design and develop comprehensive software applications, as needed.
• Experience with other / unstructured / non-relational data management protocols (e.g. XML). Experience with Agile Methodology. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams of software engineers, domain experts, and others to build new product features for multiple business units
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or another technical field preferred
• Strong proficiency in data analysis with a keen ability to extract metrics and insight from high-volume and high-complexity datasets
• Excellent communication skills to present findings and collaborate with subject matter experts
• Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP): Data Scientist
• DODI 8570.1 Compliance at IAT Level I certification highly desired.
• Talent for effective feature evaluation and dimensionality reduction
• Advanced data preparation skills, particularly using SQL on complex relational datasets
• Experience with Cloud Data Technologies Redshift, Spark, Hadoop, SageMaker a plus
• Experience with Tableau a plus
• Secret Clearance preferred or ability to obtain
