    Job Description

     

    South Texas Research Institute (STRI) is a private, physician-owned clinical research site located in Edinburg, Texas. With a focus on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer, STRI is continuing to grow in research and development of treatment options for these conditions. This growth has led to the need for a part-time patient recruitment/outreach specialist to help take our company to the next level and better serve our community in the Rio Grande Valley.

    Responsibilities

    1. Able to speak to physicians and community stakeholders about the mission of South Texas Research Institute to collaborate and generate patient recruitment into clinical protocols

    2. Responsible for managing outreach program for liver scans

    3. Deliver presentations in various settings and using various tools, i.e. Power Point, Excel, etc.

    4. Develop pre-screen scripts for upcoming studies as needed or assigned

    5. Utilize our systems to track progress of media generated referrals and overall study enrollment

    6. Update study specific social media sites

    7. Perform ad-hoc projects/tasks as needed

    8. Navigate multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy

    9. Responsible for the development and maintenance of therapeutic area knowledge and expertise

    10. Synthesizes recruitment data from multiple sources to ensure understandable and actionable by the clinical team

    11. Leverage data to determine the effectiveness of tactics utilized

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's degree, preferred with marketing or business focus

    2. Prior experience in clinical research, preferred

    3. Prior experience in marketing within healthcare and preferably experience working with physicians and physician referrals

    4. Excellent computer (word-processing, databases, Excel, Windows), organizational, and communication skills

    SPANISH SPEAKER HIGHLY PREFERRED.
