Private Family seeks a highly organized, adaptable, and positive Personal Assistant / House Manager to provide comprehensive day-to-day support to the Principal, while assisting with light House Management responsibilities. This role is based primarily out of the family’s Southampton residence and requires a candidate who is comfortable working closely alongside the Principal throughout the day.
The successful candidate will be personable, easygoing, and solutions-oriented, with a strong service mindset and have a genuine love of animals. This is a hands-on, dynamic role centered around personal assistance, scheduling, and household coordination. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and possesses a flexible, roll with it mentality, able to pivot quickly as needs arise while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
This is a full-time, year-round position with a Monday through Friday schedule, inclusive of standard working hours and occasional after-hours responsiveness via text as needed. The schedule is more active and hands-on from May through December, with Greater flexibility during the off-season months when the family is not in residence.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide high-touch, day-to-day personal support to the Principal
- Manage complex personal calendars, appointments, and scheduling
- Coordinate and assist with application processing and related administrative tasks
- Schedule and manage veterinary appointments and pet-related logistics
- Provide hands on assistance with the daily care and ongoing needs of household pets, including coordination of supplies and routines, feeding schedules, grooming etc.
- Anticipate needs and proactively handle day-to-day requests and changes
- Maintain a calm, positive demeanor while working closely alongside the Principal for extended periods
- Serve as a central point of coordination between the Principal, staff, and vendors
- Communicate clearly and effectively while maintaining discretion and confidentiality
- Respond to occasional after-hours texts or requests as needed (with respect for work-life balance)
- Assist with staff scheduling and coordination
- Liaise with vendors and service providers; schedule and oversee work as needed
- Review and approve household invoices and expenses
- Maintain organization of household systems, records, and documentation
- Ensure smooth daily operations within the residence
- Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Principal
- Provide coverage and flexibility in schedule May through December
Requirements
- Strong command of the English language with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- Prior experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or House Manager within a private household
- Experience supporting UHNW individuals or families required
- Must possess genuine affection for animals and be comfortable with hands-on pet care
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow through
- Positive, can do attitude with a high degree of emotional intelligence
- Ability to remain adaptable, flexible, and unflappable in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Adept at working in ever changing environments requiring the utmost discretion and confidentiality

Compensation: $130k – $150K per annum
