Job Description
Telephone Operator to answer inbound calls and schedule patient appointments in a call center environment for a busy medical practice with locations throughout the Hampton Roads area. This position is located in our Newport News office (Bilingual - Spanish/English is a major plus). Full-time - Monday to Friday - will also consider part-time candidates. * Schedule, reschedule, cancel appointments as requested by the patient or administration. * Data entry skills for electronic scheduling and messaging. * Adhere to company policies and practices as related to scheduling appointments. * Schedule appointments accurately - i.e. correct provider, correct facility, correct specialty. * Pay attention to and follow the scheduling template for each provider. * Provide general and accurate information to callers. * Document information in the electronic system concisely while using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. * Have a pleasing and professional telephone voice. * Interact with callers in a professional and caring manner. * Utilize active listening skills to determine the needs of the callers. * Field calls quickly and efficiently.
