Southern Botanical is looking for an experienced ESTIMATOR to join our LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION team. The successful candidate has a complete understanding of all aspects of the bidding process. Has knowledge of contractual legal language and considers himself/herself technology savvy. Thrives on organization and attention to detail and has outstanding profit awareness. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete all aspects of the bidding process; pre-bid, measuring, reviewing bids, pre-site inspections and preparing estimates
• Receive and evaluate incoming bid specifications and drawings for landscape projects and
• Create an estimate based on project specifications to successfully bid and win the project
• Maintain product, production rates and sub-contractor pricing to stay current
• Understand complete scope of work including sub-contractor work
• Follow-up on all pending bids
• Exceed bid deadlines
• Be creative and resourceful in gaining better pricing for subcontractors and suppliers

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management or related courses of study
• Minimum 3-years’ experience estimating construction projects (with minimum 1-year working in the field)
