    FLORIDA SOUTHWESTERN STATE COLLEGE is accepting resumes in search of a COMMUNITY SERVICE TECHNICIAN to join our team of exceptional employees.  Public Safety Technicians provide services on a designated FSW campus ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

    • An Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in criminal justice or related field.
    • Two (2) years of full-time experience in law enforcement, security or public safety. Additional combination of education and experience may be substituted.
    • A current D license security certificate
    • Ability to work various shifts including day, afternoon and evening hours as the College dictates.
    • May be designated as “Essential Personnel” in times of emergency.

    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Experienced manager with 6+ years of proven leadership in a service-oriented environment
    • Experience leading a team required
    • Flexibility in location and schedule
    • Responsible for leading a shift while training
    • Ability to lift to 45 pounds
    • Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers, calculators and 10-keys
    • Has a passion to continuously learn about dogs, cats and small animals
    • Instinctively gracious: genuinely enjoys making others feel welcome

    • Has integrity: says and does what she or he believes to be right
