SOUTHERN ICE EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTORS, an industry leading regional wholesale distributor of commercial food service equipment (ice machines, refrigerators, daiquiri machines, etc.), is seeking candidates for a career as a Customer Service Representative in our New Orleans, LA market.  Headquartered in Lafayette, LA, Southern Ice currently has regional distribution centers in Houston, New Orleans, Jackson, Little Rock, Albuquerque, and Phoenix.  Southern Ice is growing in a demand industry and commands market leadership through strong customer service and integrity driven business practices.  Previous experience within the commercial food service industry is a plus but not essential, we can train the right person.

As a Southern Ice Customer Service Representative, you will:

               Work within a small team supporting our customers on a direct basis; over the counter and telephone.

               Quote prices and process orders for pick up and shipment.

A CSR will also be responsible for but not limited to:

               Generating invoices, purchase orders and inventory reports.

               Pull and package orders for shipment

               Candidates should have the ability to work independently and be multitask oriented while working as a productive team member to ensure customer satisfaction.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE REFRIGERATION/ HVAC INDUSTRY, (SALES OR SERVICE), IS A PLUS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.

High School Diploma, preferred candidates will possess an Associate’s degree (AA) or comparable work experience

Two years of customer service experience, preferably business to business.

A positive attitude combined with a professional etiquette in all interactions with customers.

Strong organizational, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Integrity, energy, motivation and enthusiasm

Proficient computer skills

Team oriented characteristics.

Ability to lift up to 30# packages

Forklift experience a plus, a willing attitude to learn is necessary.

Should have strong references, available for interview
