Job Description

Southern Impression Homes, paired with CKF Construction, both proud members of the Suncoast Family of companies, seeks a Purchasing Manager to join our growing team in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Purchasing assistants work within the scope of materials and labor services. They serve as a liaison between field operations and accounts payable. It is their responsibility to verify negotiated costs and then place orders for products and services.

We are looking for a motivated and hard-working purchasing assistant. The purchasing assistant will be teamed and report to the Purchasing Manager and assigned to a region to ensure that the goods and products needed for the functioning of that region are contracted.

You will be responsible for contacting venders, verifying pricing/purchase orders, ensuring that these requisitions are based on the stated needs in the scope of work. This position is a full-time role. Although not required, having previous experience in the homebuilding line of work is a benefit.

Responsibilities

· Maintain vendor packets and qualifications

· Requests for pricing, load price changes

· Revising/updating features lists

· Updating project vendor lists

· Pricing and distributing design changes

· New project product budgets

· Keep the office organized

· Coordinate all paperwork for vendors

· Issue starts purchase orders

· Issue VPO po’s as needed

· Resolve invoicing/billing issues

Required Skills

· Microsoft Excel proficiency

· Previous experience in working with Subcontractors in the bidding processes

· Experience working in an ERP database system

ECI Mark systems experience a PLUS

· Minimum High School diploma

· Strong mathematical skills

· Excellent written and communication skills

· Positive attitude- a customer Service focused mentality

· Attention to detail in data input environment

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to prioritize, track and meet assigned task deadlines

· Ability to resolve contractor challenges quickly and proactively
