    Southern Site Work is seeking a full-time, experienced Arborist/Tree Climbers & Groundmen to join our team immediately. We are a leading provider of high-quality tree care services, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' landscapes.

    Responsibilities

    Work as a member of a general tree cutting crew.

    Perform specialized pruning, cutting and removals of live and dead trees.

    Safely operate equipment including chainsaws, chippers, bucket truck, skidsteers and hand-tools.

    Provide excellent customer service.

    Drive a Bucket and/or Chip truck with hauling equipment as needed. CDL is required.

    Maintains assigned company vehicles, equipment, tools and gear.

    Maintain City electrical right of way by trimming limbs/removing tree growth. (High voltage lines)

    Feed chipper with limbs/large pieces of wood.

    Clean up debris from cutting down trees (raking/backpack blower).

    Use approved rope tying methods to safely lower limbs to the ground.

    Qualifications

    Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tree Climber or Arborist.

    Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Groundman.

    Expertise in safe chainsaw/equipment operation.

    Experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals.

    Ability to climb trees with spikes.

    Experience operating a bucket truck.

    Experience operating a wood chipper.

    Experience operating a skid-steer/mini excavator.

    Experience with tying approved knots.

    Experience leading and managing a crew and job.

    Understanding of safety on a job site to ANSI standards.

    Understanding of OSHA standards.

    Valid Driver’s License and your own, reliable vehicle.

    CDL License is required.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Self-motivated and managed.

    Must be punctual

    Ability to work and maneuver at varying heights under sometimes adverse weather conditions.

    Compensation

    Pay ranges from $20 to $30 per hour, based on experience.

    Schedule:

    Monday - Friday 6am to 4pm
