    Role Objective: The Service Engineer / Mechanic will perform quality requirements for repairs, overhauls, seal maintenance, and marine propulsion service. Looking for skilled individuals with the knowledge and understanding to protect workers, assets, and equipment on all services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Complete marine service needs to factory standards

    Be qualified in mechanical repairs, troubleshoot, and implement re-engineering / quality improvement process while maintaining a positive, safe, and productive work environment.

    Maintain a professional relationship with customers and other service teams.

    Complete job / inspection reports during and after completion of every service.

    Travel as needed to perform quality service.

    Perform pressure test and sea trials upon completion of job when requested.

    Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:

    Knowledge in the marine service industry.

    Background in mechanics / engineering.

    Able to read and understand blueprints.

    Must be capable to lead jobs and keep customer downtime to a minimum while maximizing vessels workload.

    Must have clean driving record to qualify.

    Must be able to pass drug screen upon request.

    Physical Requirements:

    Worker will exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force constantly.

    Requires hearing, talking, grasping, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and crawling.

    Worker is required to have the ability to see details at a distance and is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing gauges.

    The worker is subject to environmental conditions with no protection from weather.

    The worker is subject to noise, vibration, hazards, and is frequently in close quarters and small enclosed rooms and is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
