    POSITION SUMMARY

    Are you an experienced Instructional Designer with a passion for shaping the future of learning? Do you thrive on creating engaging and impactful training experiences? As an Instructional Designer with 5-7 years of experience in instructional design and a background in construction and engineering, you will play a crucial role in creating and enhancing training materials to support our organization's learning and development initiatives. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to design and deliver effective, engaging, and impactful learning solutions.



    What you’ll do:

    Needs Analysis: Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and training requirements, ensuring learning solutions are relevant and effective.

    Curriculum Development: Create, update, and maintain training curricula, modules, and courses for construction and engineering professionals. Ensure content aligns with industry standards and best practices. Leverages the ADDIE five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The ADDIE model relies on each stage being done in the given order but with a focus on reflection and iteration.
    Content Creation: Develop a variety of instructional materials, including eLearning courses, instructional and operational manuals, videos, and interactive simulations, tailored to the specific needs of our workforce.
    Learning Technologies: Utilize instructional design software and tools to develop and deliver training materials. Stay up-to-date with emerging eLearning technologies and trends.
    Facilitation and Delivery: Facilitate virtual and live events and prep SME's (train the trainer) etc.
    Evaluation: Implement evaluation processes to assess the impact of training programs. Use feedback and data to continuously improve instructional content and methods.
    Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of training materials. Review and update content as necessary to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
    Compliance: Ensure training materials align with industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements in the construction and engineering field.


    How you'll do it:

    Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts in construction and engineering to extract and translate technical information into learner-friendly content.

    Project Management: Manage instructional design projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.

    What you’ll need to be successful:

    Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or a related field.

    5-7 years of experience in instructional design, particularly within the construction and engineering industry.
    Proficiency in instructional design software and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Suite).
    Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders.
    Proven experience and effective performance to facilitate in-person and virtually with a variety of mediums, technologies, and audiences.
    Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    A commitment to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies in instructional design.

    The candidate will travel to national locations 30% but may vary with business demands.
