These position will report directly to the Guest Relations Supervisor and the Assistant Supervisor. Responsibilities include a broad range of guest relations activities during the Los Angeles County Fair. Key responsibilities are; following up with all guest concerns, tracking resolution of issues, providing daily updates to the leadership team, supporting guest relations leads, associates, and problem solving.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support guest relations leads, associates, and public safety personnel • Responsible for responding to guest’s comments and concerns received through phone calls, writing, and email or in person • Responsible for solving and providing resolution for guest problems and complaints within the L.A. County Fair, using discretion and judgment • Assists in compiling data for department’s regarding issues that have surfaced for each department • Assist the Lost Children’s department to return children safely to their guardian • Assists guest relations manager with the opening and closing duties of guests relations department for fair • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
• Should have comprehensive working knowledge of service requirements for a wide variety of convention and/or recreational events • Experience in the Fair industry preferred • Must possess analytical and public relations skills including de-escalation • Requires organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast paced environment • Must be able to communicates effectively both verbally and in writing • Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft word, excel, outlook and the internet • Must be able to use a 2-way hand held radio to communicate • Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to Fair Guests and Partners • Basic knowledge of incident command system and basic command center operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
• Must be able to sit, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold • Must be able to move around the fairgrounds with ease • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings • Must be able to work every day of the L.A. County Fair, August 30th thru September 22nd • Must have reliable transportation • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
