    Manages all aspects of a project's design with project management, architects, and other trades through the completion phase of a large project or multiple small projects.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL DO AS SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER:

     

    • Provide leadership and management to a group of design engineers in performing Electrical system design and document production of small and large projects.
    • Responsible for the quality of work produced by assigned design engineering group.
    • Responsible for conceptual project design, developing full construction documents, and construction administration.
    • Represent the company as a lead electrical engineer at project team design meetings.  
    • Prepares preliminary (redline) design layouts for estimating.
    • Performs deliverables and products such as calculations, drawings, and specifications related to electrical systems.
    • Performs calculations for a project, such as electrical loads, equipment selection, and sizing, feeder sizing, energy calculations, voltage drop calculations, short circuit/coordination studies, etc.
    • Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during the construction phase.
    • Responsible for Code Compliance.

     

     

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

     

    • Have an excellent knowledge of electrical design to include types of equipment utilized in the industry as well as general understanding of system operations. Healthcare/hospital design and construction experience is preferred.
    • Have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, including project management and field trades.
    • Have the ability to communicate effectively with general contractors/clients while exhibiting company core values.
    • Can read and fully understand construction documents of all trades.
    • Your competent with general business writing and public speaking.
    • Your competent in basic computer skills to include CADD, REVIT, and Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel.)
    • You have a proven ability to lead an engineering group of 5+ design engineers, designers, CADD and administrative professionals
    • A strong knowledge of the engineering industry.
    • KNOWLEDGE OF INTEGRATED PROJECT DELIVERY (IPD) AND LEAN PROJECT DELIVERY METHODS PREFERRED.
    • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, P.E. license required; 10+ years experience in related field.
    • LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
