    POSITION SUMMARY

    Oversees company’s insurance and surety programs, claims management, and assists company leadership with corporate risk management strategies. Leads the identification, communication, measurement, and management of company-wide risk.



    What you’ll do:

    • Responsible for working directly with insurance broker partner and other representatives with gathering all policy renewal information, conducting renewal strategy meetings, presenting renewal options to executive leadership while coordinating timely renewals of all insurance programs.
    • Analyzes and understands insurable risks and potential risk mitigation opportunities; interacts with operational groups to ensure coordination between project activities, exposures, and appropriate insurance coverage. Evaluates viability of insurance captives and establishes captives, where appropriate.
    • Works with client insurance representatives to ensure proper placement and coordination of any project specific insurance policies.
    • Reviews and analyzes terms and conditions associated with proposed Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIPs and CCIPs). Directs and oversees all aspects of bonding requirements and manage surety relationship. Manages all aspects of contract review as relates to insurance and bonds issues, including coordination of contract review with legal.
    • Oversees internal claim management efforts (general liability, workers compensation, automobile liability, property, pollution/professional, builders risk) to include oversight of third party administrators, insurers, and defense attorneys.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends in construction insurance industry, including thorough working knowledge of insurance products, coverage and pricing. Works closely with operation teams to identify educational needs, and assists with presentations and sessions focused on insurance and risk issues.
    • Provides coaching and performance feedback to direct reports.

    What you’ll need to be successful:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Risk Management or Insurance related field
    • Minimum 10 years of insurance, claims, risk management expertise in the construction industry
    • ARM, CRM, CPCU, and/or CRIS credentials preferred
    • Solid working knowledge of Property, Casualty, Excess, Employment, Professional, Pollution, D&O, Crime, Builders Risk, Cyber, and Fiduciary insurance policies and construction services experience
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent collaboration skills
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint

    Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington) this ranges from $180,000-$205,000 plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program as outlined above.
