    POSITION SUMMARY

    As the Service Manager at Envise you will build, coach, develop, and lead a strong service team.  This person will have the opportunity to build the credibility, competency, and capability for our service team.  This person will also be a business leader that exercises their technical acumen, business savvy, and leadership acumen to support a growing business and leave a lasting impact on the organization.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

     

    • Manages service operation team and accounts within the business, including organization, definition, planning, implementation and control.
    • Ensures the completion of all preventive maintenance contracts, service projects, pull through orders and T&M within the business portfolio.
    • Collaborate with Start & Test team to ensure smooth transition from Construction to Service, as well as support the agreement conversion process, which may include front end maintenance budget support.
    • Supports sales activities ensuring that strong customer relationships are established and maintained while working to achieve business objectives.  This includes promoting team selling and expansion of existing relationships into additional new sales, as well as empowers technician driven additional work.
    • Assists sales team in determining estimated costs, identifying resources and assessing future potential business, part of this will include refining the maintenance estimating process and tools.
    • Manages team performance; provides coaching and training paths to develop skills with each team member. This includes communicating goals and providing performance appraisals to direct reports. 
    • Grow the maintenance and service capabilities to support existing and targeted customer base.  This includes growing technical capabilities that complement the systems we design and construction, so that we provide full lifecycle support.
    • Own the maintenance and service repair estimating to execution, with support of outside sales to bring in prospects and close sales.
    • Support the growth of business through the Energy Services and Analytics approach, in addition to the more traditional go to market strategies.

     

    WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL:

     

    • 20 years’ experience in HVAC service, including time in management of service business. With this experience we are looking for proven experience in understanding and growing the profitability of service work. 
    • Extensive experience working with local labor unions
    • Ability to work very effectively in a collaborative manner with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environment
    • Very significant HVAC or Construction service, contracting, operations, and people management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and direct personnel toward achievement of a common goal
    • Significant presentation, verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with customers, vendors and employees
    • Significant knowledge of HVAC and overall building systems is required- a candidate that comes from a technical background is preferred in order to fully support and develop the technical team.
    • Minimal travel required
