POSITION SUMMARY

Southland Industries is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer. As a Sr Network Engineer you will lead and assist with network related projects pertaining to the design, maintenance, and optimization of the Southland cloud technologies and LAN/WAN environments in a small team setting. This role will be 100% remote and will require quarterly travel.

What you’ll do:

• Lead small/medium infrastructure projects.
• Provide advanced (Tier 3+) troubleshooting assistance.
• Develop standards and associated documentation.
• Works with business to understand current pain points and assist in implementing enterprise solutions.
• Perform systems and application testing (qualification testing, performance testing, UAT testing).
• Manage in-scope technology support queue.
• Develop, conduct, and maintain the existing and develop new training content for all in-scope technologies on the Technology Knowledge Center.
• Assist with troubleshooting, analyzing, optimizing existing technology configurations.
• Manage the end-user communication process (communication emails, end user feedback, etc.).
• Assist with documenting existing technologies.
• Assist in change management and technology deployment.

• Four-year degree or applicable experience in similar field
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience
• Strong knowledge Network Topology,
• Strong knowledge Network Security.
• Strong knowledge of support systems/processes.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linus OS
• Good knowledge of Upgrading Networks.
