    POSITION SUMMARY

     

     

    As a PROJECT ENGINEER, you will pro-actively engage new and existing customers, from all industries, with face to face meetings, and you will develop consultative business relationships with end-users, building property/facility managers and general contractors to better understand their needs and to develop a winning sales strategy.  This role reports to the Branch Sales Manager.

     

    The Project Engineer is the entry point for a career in project management. Primary responsibility is to assist a project manager or managers to successfully coordinate a project using the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services. 

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

     

     

    • Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management
    • Manages change orders. Ensures they are completed accurately and tracked as required
    • Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors
    • Stays current on emerging trends
    • Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

     

     

    • Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in a Project Management role or in a similar role
    • Experience using ERP systems to inquire, review and print job cost reports
    • Knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design
    • Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel
