    WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

    By joining our team as an experienced and qualified Account Executive you will have the key responsibility of developing an overall strategy to grow Southland Energy in the public-sector marketplace.  As an expert in consultative selling and business development you will develop opportunities in the Southern California region within the public-sector marketplace.  As an Account Executive you will deal directly with key decision makers and influencers in the public-sector customer base and Utility partner organizations and work with technical representatives in order to develop a clear understanding of the customer’s needs and concerns. 

     

    Some key accountabilities you will have as an Account Executive include… 

    • Identify and qualify energy sales opportunities with customers 
    • Sell complex energy solutions with limited supervision, assist customers and potential customers with problem solving, and develop and deploys account strategies 
    • Analyze and prioritize customer financial goals and strategic objectives, track and report on key business results and trends, and develop complex financial solutions strategies 
    • Manage the sales process internally and work with operations to identify necessary resources and resource planning 
    • Keep current in the regional marketplace, leveraging relationships and network contact connected to our customer industries 
    • Increase Southland’s market share by creating teaming and partnering relationships 
    • Participate in federal organizations (SAME, FUPWG) and associated professional organizations

     

     

    THINGS YOU MAY HAVE DONE BEFORE 

    Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field 

    Have a minimum of 5 years in performance contracting experience required

    • Performance Contracting experience in the California market is preferred

     

    Have industry experience utilizing available funding versus financing requirements for complex Energy Performance Contracting sales

    Demonstrated success selling complex, customer focused solutions 

    Experience conducting complex financial performances 

    Must be able and willing to travel 50% of the time
