Southwest Plumbing Services Inc. is currently looking for a Plumber to work in the field in the Naples or Ft.Myers area. What you will be doing: • Installation of all plumbing and gas systems in all phases for new construction, major renovations and/or service calls related to ongoing construction projects at/on the job level. • Must have and maintain a complete set of plumber’s hand tools as required for the tasks you are asked to perform. • Ability to rough in and install all phases of plumbing for which you are assigned in a professional and timely manner. • Work in a clean and organized workmanlike manner. • Perform Job clean up as required by foreman/ job site policy. • Maintain consistent work load • Manage and be responsible for all work materials and equipment • Properly use and maintain SW Plumbing’s tools, vehicles and equipment including rentals. • Maintain positive relationships with all SWP field employees, customers /construction managers, inspectors, and other tradesman • Be familiar with plumbing codes that apply to your work • Communicate any job related concerns to your SW Plumbing foreman /supervisor • Report any injury immediately to your SW Plumbing foreman / supervisor.
What you will need: • High School Diploma and/or GED, enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program, Journeyman preparation courses, Journeyman License, OSHA Certifications, Applicable Certifications and Training • Familiar with material / phases /disciplines of plumbing systems and installation methods for tasks you iare assigned. • 2+ years local or US experience in similar market setting with practical plumbing experience in all phases of new construction plumbing and gas on a variety of residential and commercial projects. • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is a major plus but not required for some locations. • Some experience with architectural and MEP drawings. • Familiar with material required for the particular job site(s) types/phases you are working on. • Experience with construction process from pre-construction to project close-out. • Must be able to work in a construction environment in South Florida year-round. • Must wear proper and required construction clothing, shoes, protective wear as per company and/or specific job site policy. • The position has physical elements/requirements, such as lifting, repetitive bending/reaching, climbing ladders and operating tools that are “essential” to the job. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. 10 to 15 times per shift.
