    Southwest Sport and Spine Center, Inc. is in search of a Physical Therapy Billing Assistant Manager for a growing Physical Therapy practice. Candidates must have knowledge in all aspects of Billing and Coding for physical therapy services, knowledge of insurances, and insurance benefits. Must have knowledge on how to use an EMR system, reports, and excel spreadsheets. Candidates must project a warm, enthusiastic and friendly demeanor in client and team member interactions. Must have excellent problem solving skills.

    The Physical Therapy Billing Assistant Manager work among a team of Billing & Coding specialists to complete the full cycle of billing out, collections and A/R for our outpatient physical therapy centers.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Monitor productivity of Collections Specialist

    Collections of outstanding balances from all payers and patient accounts

    Identify and research unpaid claims, determine and correct cause, follow up as needed

    Appeal/Rebill underpaid or denied claims within payer deadlines

    Provide excellent customer service regarding patient collection issues and disputes

    Ensure accurate and timely billing for professional claims and cash pay services

    Send monthly Statements for outstanding patient balances

    Insurance Audits and Medical Records Requests

    Required Skills:

    Previous experience in medical billing and collections (1-3 years)

    Typing 60wpm and 10 key 7500 with 98% accuracy

    Knowledge on insurance reimbursement process

    Understanding of medical ICD 10 codes and CPT codes

    Understanding of Insurance Explanation of Benefits

    Works with minimal direction and oversight

    Strong verbal and written communication skills; are detail-oriented, organized and accurate

    Self-starter who can work well independently or as part of the team

    Can Effectively prioritize and manage multiple daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
