The Intake Coordinator provides an integral component of the entire Intake, Billing and Collections process.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:plus other duties may be assigned.

    Schedules appointments and enters appointment dates and time into computerized scheduler.

    Collects all patient information to verify insurance benefits, and assuring that the Patient Referral/Insurance Verification Form is completed accurately and legibly.

    Sets proper tone during the first visit by conveying that a valuable exchange will take place between the patient and Fyzical.

    Overcomes patients fears/objections that they are unable to afford payment by offering acceptable alternatives.

    Records when appointments have been filled or canceled.

    Upon patient cancellation, emails or notes to scheduled therapist reason for cancellation and indicates if patient has rescheduled.

    Telephones or writes patients to remind them of appointments.

    Answers telephone.

    Responsible for registering patients and receiving payments for services provided.

    Adheres to company’s policies and procedures.

    Adheres to company’s values statement and social contract.

    Collects and records over the counter sales

    Keeps daily and weekly measures of valuable final products and statistics for the post.

    Manages and tracks patients through plan of care.

    Qualifications:

    Bilingual a must

    Should be experienced with PPO/HMO, Medicare, Worker's Compensation and Private Insurance authorization/verification.

    Good written and spoken communication skills necessary.

    An ideal candidate would have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable with scheduling, patient contact, and the ability to prioritize and problem solve.

    High energy, assertive, results driven and highly ethical.

    Experience with Insurance authorization both verbally and web-based.

    High School Diploma, Associates degree or College preferred.

    Professional and polished appearance is important. There is opportunity to advance within the company based on performance.

    Language Skills-ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills-ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability-ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills-to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems; Database Software; Internet Software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Minimum typing speed of 80-90wpm with nil errors.
