How will you power what’s possible? Long DescriptionRole SummaryThis is an exciting time to join Southwire on the Tools & Equipment Team. The Product Management Intern –Tools & Equipment will assist the Product Specialist–Material Handling on launch preparation for an industry leading product along with merchandising opportunities and programs designed to gain share in the market. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to development & deployment of commercial assets, product testing & analysis, and assisting the Product Management Team in day-to-day category management activities.Description of Roles and ResponsibilitiesNew Product Development including working directly with distribution and other cross functional teamsResearching new product ideas and walking them through the product development processAssisting with new product launches, merchandising, including marketing collateral and onsite photographySAP data entry and maintenanceCandidate will be heavily involved in the Tools & Equipment categoriesOpportunity to learn all areas of the Tools & Equipment markets, including Bending, Pulling, Hand Tools, Meters, & Material Handling. Qualifications and Experience Requirements2+ years of post-high school graduation education with a concentration in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications or like fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced product category with changing technology and customer demandsHardworking and Self-StarterAbility to use problem solving skills when working through tasksPositive attitude and good communicatorFamiliarity with the Tools& Electrical industries a plusProficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word) required, Microsoft Project a plus •Ability to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basisAbility to work a minimum of 20 hours per weekSouthwire is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
