Assistant Aquatics Director

Spa 23 Fitness and Lifestyle Aquatics Program is currently looking for a full time Assistant Aquatics Director for our high demand program helping over 700 swimmers a week to become water safe. The right individual for this position will be an integral part of a team of swim instructors working in a competitive but cooperative area of our facility. The main focus of this position will be to teach, guard and sell our Swim School classes. Our team is passionate about how we teach and communication is key with staff and members to keep everything flowing smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have the following traits and experience:

· Effective and clear communication skills

· Passionate about making swimmers water safe

· Integrates well with competitive staff

· Brings a fun element to work

· Organized and detail oriented

· Willing to go above and beyond to do the right thing

· Flexible with working hours

· Minimum of 3 years teaching/coaching experience for swimming

· Certified in Red Cross Lifeguarding

· Experience managing a team

Position duties include:

· Teaching and Guarding Swim School classes 20+ hours a week

· Answering and returning calls for potential swimmers

· Placing swimmers in our program

· Keeping pool area neat and organized

· Promote our program at off-site events

· Being an integral part of the team

· Assisting Aquatics Director in daily tasks

· Organizing Swim School rosters and scheduling

· Working midday to afterschool hours and one weekend day per week
