    Job Description

    We seek a candidate with experience with academic publishing coupled with teaching and collaborating with higher education practitioners, administrators, and scholars. The hired candidate will teach at least four **** courses per year, advise doctoral students, co-supervise doctoral capstones, participate in program/course planning and development, and provide services to the department and university as needed. Salary is commensurate with experience and education, and the benefits package is competitive.

    • Teaching synchronous online courses in leadership theory, practice, and research methodologies
    • Mentoring and advising students as they progress through a doctoral program
    • Implementing student engagement practices in and outside of the traditional learning space
    • Helping create innovative strategies for student retention and completion in a virtual environment.
    • Participating in curriculum revision and academic assessment
    • Displaying a strong commitment to quality teaching and collegial relationship building
    • Participating in University service
    • Regular or daily contact with administration, faculty, staff and students
    • Must have an appreciation and respect for diverse populations
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Earned doctorate in a field related to the social sciences
    • Strong record of peer-reviewed publication and scholarship in multiple venues: Conference papers/workshops, book chapters, single/edited book authorship, peer-reviewed journals
    • Expertise in incorporating interdisciplinary scholarly perspectives into course material
    • Demonstrates strong engagement and communication skills in virtual learning environments
    • 2-4 years as a distinguished practitioner working with graduate students

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong social science research skills in quantitative and/or mixed method analysis
    • Expertise with graduate course material in: Leadership Theory, Research Methodologies, and Change/Systems Theory
    • Experience of serving as chair or co-chair on capstone, dissertation, and/or graduate thesis committees
    • Thorough expertise or editorial experience in APA 7 style
    • Demonstrated experience of service in professional academic organizations
