    Job Description

    Legal Assistant Wanted!

Estate Planning and probate/death administration are what this law firm does, and we need a legal assistant or paralegal, preferable with experience in those fields of law, or with strong administrative assistant experience. Do you enjoy helping people make positive choices about the future? What about assisting families through difficult times in their lives? Do you love to keep objects and information highly organized? How about working with checklists and protocols for working through a process?

We are a small, caring estate planning law firm with growth plans, and we want only the BEST Assistant for our attorneys. If you have talent, we are willing to invest in all the tools, training and coaching you need to always stay at the top of your game. You must be an enthusiastic person with a positive mindset who can keep yourself focused on priorities. We expect measurable results, self-motivation, superior communication and a passion for creating unforgettable client experiences. IF YOU ARE ACTION ORIENTED AND READY TO HELP KEEP OUR LAW FIRM PERFORMING AT A HIGH LEVEL, THEN WE WANT YOU!

In return, you will learn a great deal about the law business, marketing and the legal world. As legal assistant, you will get to take a lot of personal credit for the success of the firm by making sure the highly detailed, back-office work gets done right the first time – and we want someone with a knack for cultivating an environment in which positive, lasting client relationships can thrive. Initially, compensation will be commensurate with experience, then your compensation will grow along with the growth of our firm.

YOUR DAILY ACTIVITIES AS LEGAL ASSISTANT INCLUDE:

    · Performing legal research (real property records, tax records, court filings, etc.)

    · Tracking trust funding actions for multiple clients at once, with great accuracy

    · Always showing clients our “best side” by jumping in wherever help is needed

    DO NOT APPLY IF:

    · Holding an attorney accountable and helping them stay focused frightens you

    · Making coffee, running errands, answering phones and cleaning is beneath you

    · You are easily distracted, tend to lose or forget things, or struggle to stay organized

    · Have trouble meeting deadlines

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    · Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PDF programs

    · Ability to quickly learn new software

    · Experience with client relationship management software

    · Ability to anticipate future needs of the attorneys and the law firm team

    · Eligible to qualify as a Notary Public

    · Ability to prioritize workload based on internal and external client needs

    · Comfortable communicating directly and with respect
