    Job Title: Legal Assistant – Immigration Law Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our legal team with immigration cases related to T visas, VAWA, and asylum. The Legal Assistant will primarily be responsible for managing document collection, conducting client interviews to gather declaration notes, drafting declarations for T visas, VAWA, and waivers, and preparing final case files in PDF format for review before submission to USCIS. This is an in-person position, reporting to the Managing Attorney, Case Manager, and Paralegal Coordinator. Schedule: This is a full-time position with a required schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time, Monday - Friday. Salary Range: $21 - $25 per hour Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: • Collect, organize, and maintain client documents essential for T visa, VAWA, and asylum cases. • Conduct structured client interviews to gather relevant information and notes for declarations. • Draft detailed and accurate declarations for T visas, VAWA cases, and waivers, ensuring alignment with USCIS requirements. • Compile and format final case files in PDF, ensuring all documents are complete, organized, and ready for attorney review before submission to USCIS. • Maintain consistent communication with clients and team members to track case progress and updates. • Manage digital files and records to support efficient workflow and compliance with firm protocols. • Assist Paralegals with case monitoring and reminder tasks. Qualifications: Requirements: • Prior experience in immigration law, particularly with T visas, VAWA, or asylum cases, is preferred. • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in using PDF creation tools, case management software, and cloud storage platforms. • Reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet workspace, and commitment to the assigned schedule. • Speaks English and Spanish fluently.
