Remote position. Must live in the Indianapolis area.

Pay: $32.00/hour

In this role you will:

• Translate and Interpret for multiple divisions internal or external.
• Meet standards to exceed needs in customer service and interpreting skills.
• Maintain professionalism.
• Advocate for clients when necessary.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of translations and interpretations.
• Maintain a flexible daily schedule and be available during non-traditional work hours and days.
• Communicate effectively with staff to ensure all needs are met.
• Participate in other opportunities applicable to support translation and interpretation efforts.
• Attend meetings, conferences or events if needed to support our department.
• Read or listen to material in original language, determine the understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and convert it into a second language, making sure to preserve the original meaning.
• Proofread translations.
• Complete translation requests from different programs. Requests include brochures, flyers, program literature, articles, authorizations forms, consent forms, legal documents, provider and client letters.
• Relay concepts and ideas between languages.
• Use special dictionaries, glossaries, and websites for reference. Research as necessary to understand all terminology.
• Use appropriate software for delivery and presentation.
• Consult with experts in specialized areas.
• Assist the front desk with interpretation requests for visitors.
• Lead three way calls for any staff.
• Attend community events to provide interpretation services as well as necessary document translation and sight translations.
