As a Community Health Worker you will touch every aspect of our work developing a vast array of skills. You will provide assistance in our school clinics, teach children in their classrooms, and organized your assigned schools for services. Responsibilities
School-Based Dental Clinics - Assist or lead in setting up and cleaning up after the school-based dental clinics. In the clinic, serve as an unlicensed dental assistant to a dental provider.
Oral Health Education - Learn and teach RSS oral health curriculum in an engaging way with appropriate information.
Community Outreach & School Liaison - Act as the primary liaison to assigned schools, have a working relationship with the principal, school nurse, social worker, and or community liaison.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED
Fluent in Spanish and English
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to provide high-quality patient care
Transportation/driver's license required
PREFERRED
Lived experience and understanding of the community served by RSS
Experience in dental office/clinic
