Overview: Ascension Lutheran School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced part-time Spanish Teacher to join our dedicated faculty team. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, energy, and a love of language learning to our elementary and middle school classrooms, cultivating an engaging environment where students develop foundational Spanish vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural appreciation in alignment with our mission of nurturing the whole child academically, socially, and spiritually.
Responsibilities:
Teach Spanish to students in grades TK–8, focusing on age-appropriate language acquisition and cultural understanding.
Design and deliver engaging lessons that integrate listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators to align curriculum with schoolwide learning goals.
Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that supports student growth and participation.
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.
Model Christian values and support the mission and philosophy of Ascension Lutheran School.
Preferred Qualifications, but not all are required:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching elementary-level Spanish.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field required.
Valid and current California Teaching Credential.
CBEST Passing Scores (if applicable).
Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and engage a range of learners.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered, inclusive classroom culture.
