    Job Description

    Spark Foundry is seeking an experienced VICE PRESIDENT, MEDIA STRATEGY WITH ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE to work with a team of professionals to develop advertising media plans across all media channels (linear, OLV, print, digital, programmatic, OOH, etc.)  This is an opportunity to bring your online and offline media strategy experience to THE #1 NETWORK WITH 18-49 DEMO AND OVERALL TOTAL HOUSEHOLDS. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serving as primary DAY-TO-DAY STRATEGY LIAISON between Spark the client, creating and maintaining media plans as they relate to setting budget levels and channel planning
    • Maintaining a clear understanding of the overarching strategy and client expectations on all assigned projects.
    • DIRECTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ALL MEDIA PLANS and validate their alignment to campaign objectives as defined by client.
    • Working closely in partnership with the client on campaign briefings and on-going strategy sessions.
    • QUARTERLY/ANNUAL RESEARCH ANALYSIS OF TUNE-IN/STREAMING CATEGORY, PROVIDING CLIENT WITH ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS THAT HELP SET THEM APART FROM COMPETITORS.
    • Build, maintain and grow client relationships and client business, especially at executive management level.
    • Partnering with internal teams to develop insights into brand extensions through evaluations and recommendations of cross-platform and merchandising concepts.
    • Taking leading role in client ideation and creativity, partnering with investment teams and client’s partner agencies.
    • Setting clear expectations for tasks and aligning internal stakeholders accountable for work, communicating clearly to the team and providing proper materials/documentation when necessary.
    • Anticipating client’s needs and proactively driving business forward.
    • Acting as Spark champion and conveying its value proposition to clients.
    • Helping assist with new business initiatives as needed.
    • Continuously surveys pulse of client and client industry needs to prompt and feed innovative ideas/solutions to internal digital, analytics and human experience creation leads
    • May participate in new business pitches as required
    • Seeks opportunities to stay up to date on technology, tools, techniques, communication software,  social media and self-awareness
    • Effectively manages cross-functional initiatives and relationships and champions SME integration into team
    • May serve as team lead/member on all agency initiative
    • Builds/develops financial acumen of team
    • Models and coaches team how to effectively manage and influence clients to solutions that best meet client’s business need and are aligned with our capabilities to effectively and efficiently deliver.

    Qualifications

    • THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE WITH UNDERSTANDING OF ALL THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY NUANCES. 
    • 10+ YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE for VP level with progressive levels of responsibility and business acumen in marketing and communications, team management and P&L management
    • MUST HAVE ONLINE AND OFFLINE MEDIA EXPERIENCE. This role will work with all media channels except search and social.
    • DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO ESTABLISH HIGH LEVELS OF TRUST AND CREDIBILITY Internally and externally and influence others to action
    • TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND A PROVEN ABILITY TO MULTITASK AND MEET DEADLINES ARE ESSENTIAL
    • MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH PRESENTING TO THE CLIENT AND SITTING IN ON CLIENT PRESENTATIONS WHEN NECESSARY.
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills – effectively presents formal POV internally and externally
    • Strong leadership skills and general management orientation
    • Critical assessor of talent – builds and motivates high performing teams
    • DEMONSTRATED CRITICAL THINKING SKILL AND STRONG PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS – navigates effectively through difficult issues, builds required consensus to drive business needs and results
    • High results orientation and able to effectively juggle and prioritize many competing demands – high tolerance to effectively manage change
    • Able to establish and manage to P&L statement
    • Team oriented – approachable and viewed as coach and mentor to others
    • Bachelors degree (Masters preferred)
