Electrical Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, or Houston, TX
Overview:
The Electrical Engineer will report to the Regional Engineering Manager and will be responsible for steering engineering projects by approving electrical engineering packages for construction projects in the utility, large commercial and industrial sectors. The Engineer will have strong experience with low & medium-voltage power distribution and base building design (i.e., cable tray design, lighting, fire alarm, and emergency system design). Experience designing electrical systems for installation in hazardous area classifications (for example Zone 20/21, 22, etc.), ground mount solar and battery storage systems is strongly desired.

Major Duties Include:
Perform Short Circuit, Coordination & Arc Flash studies using ETAP or EasyPower. Perform site data collection when required.
Perform Harmonics & Power Factor Correction Studies.
Perform Ground Grid Design & Analysis
Generate settings file for IEDs from manufacturers including SEL, GE, ABB, Basler AND Siemens
Read and interpret electrical AC & DC schematics, AC three-line, logic diagrams and SLDs. Inspect, test, operate and troubleshoot AC & DC control and protection wiring schematic.
Be familiar with industry-specific codes and Standards (OESC, IEEE, and NETA).
Create or Modify Single Line and Three Line Drawing using AutoCAD.
Be safety conscious and have the willingness to learn Electrical Lockout/Tag-out procedures and gain Electrical Safety Awareness.
Exercise due diligence in the care and operation of corporate assets.
Carry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Engineering Manager.
