    We are seeking a Purchaser to join our growing Forth Worth team. Reporting directly into the Regional Operations Manager, and indirectly into the Supply Chain Functional Lead, the Purchaser will play an integral part of the overall success to the Operations, focusing on making the most high-quality and cost-effective purchases for multiple branches at one time. Branches supported may vary based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. The Junior Purchaser has a keen eye for detail and a commercial mindset. The Purchaser evaluates market conditions and different suppliers.

    Here's what you will do as a Procurement Specialist at Spark Power:

    • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.

    • Manage the Purchase Order process from start to completion following proper purchasing & system processes, managing gross margin on work orders.

    • Responsible for inventory management of your respective branches

    • Responsible for all vendor spend related to the overall operation of your respected Branch(s)

    • Collaborate very closely with a multitude of different departments, including but not limited to: Project Managers, Branch Managers, Sales, Accounts Payable, Operations & Supply Chain.

    • Prioritize, source, quote and expedite material requests to ensure timely supply, accuracy, and avoidance of work delays.

    • Provide support to Operations and Supply Chain by implementing systems, procedures and policies around inventory control, optimum stock levels, cycle counting, yearly physical inventory counts, stock transfers and overall daily flow of goods in/out of warehouse

    • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators, including inventory turns, inventory adjustments, purchasing metrics, supplier lead times, etc.

    • Make process improvement recommendations focused on improving KPIs.

    • Monitor, manage and reduce credit card spend within the Supply Chain function for your Operation.

    • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing current process and implementing new methodologies, tools, and techniques to help improve accuracy and create overall Supply Chain efficiencies

    • Assist in the proper categorization of materials supplied and classification of vendors with the support and direction of the Supply Chain

    • Duties as otherwise assigned.

    Do you have the Spark? Here's what we are looking for:

    • Minimum 3-5 year experience in a Purchasing or Buyer role
    • Experience in the Electrical contracting or distribution industry is preferred
    • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or similar field of study is preferred
    • Proficient with Excel, Outlook is required.
    • Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis
    • Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
    • Good working knowledge of standard methodologies, concepts, best practices, and procedures within a supply chain environment
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent communication skills and experience with dealing with multiple stakeholders
    • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
    • Role may require travel to other branches and/or after-hours work
