    SCOPE

    We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner, US Markets. This individual will be at the heart of supporting our greatest power, our employees and managers. Based out of Dallas, Texas, this role will report to the Director, People & Culture (HR) and be the key People & Culture partner to the Executive Vice-President, Renewables and the Executive Vice-President, USA Technical Services. The Senior HR Business Partner, US Markets, will support the leadership team in promoting a high-performance work environment and positive culture through progressive HR practices at all US locations (250+ employees, and growing!) for the renewables and technical services division of Spark Power Corp. The successful individual must have strong knowledge and experience with California legislation as it relates to employment practices.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • Hands-on strategic partner covering all aspects of the People business, providing guidance and support while ensuring consistency across different business lines and regions.
    • A servant-leadership perspective with a focus on coaching and developing field management including support for the development and implementation of technician training and advancement programs.
    • Act as a cultural ambassador, embodying the One Spark culture while recognizing the unique needs of our different technical service groups within the organization.
    • Be a voice for diversity and inclusion, champion it in your day-to-day efforts in supporting the People growth within the organization.
    • Be able to work remotely as part of the People & Culture team and the Operations leadership team.
    • Ensure that you are continue to foster and build employee communities through the field management team - support strategies and tools for performance management, employee engagement, succession planning and retention.
    • Balance People needs with business needs. Take a fair, but firm approach with employee relations.
    • Identify and research market trends to support recruitment initiatives across multi-site locations within USA.
    • Understand and continue to be at the forefront of any regulatory and statutory HR compliance requirements. Ensure on-going audits of employment practices and policies to mitigate any potential issues.
    • No task is too small to complete when necessary. Roll up your sleeves as needed, but coach and develop others to ensure everyone is fulfilling their roles as required
    • Coach and oversee at minimum of 2-4 individuals with opportunity for growth.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 5+ years of relevant HR work experience is required, preferably in the Renewable Energy or electrical contracting services industry.
    • Must have strong knowledge and experience with California legislation as it relates to employment practices.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business-related field.
    • SHRM designation is required.
    • Ability to travel to various locations within the US (up to 30%-50% of time).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay organized in a multiple-system environment with high attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated technical ability to manage employment policies and apply human rights standards to HR practices.
    • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-pace environment while taking initiative.
    • Understanding of sensitive workplace issues; ability to act tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
    • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
