    We're seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our Corporate Health and Safety team that's based in Fremont, CA.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support the Director of Health, Safety, and Environment on occupational health and safety, injury prevention, site inspections, audits, and wellness programs, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, corporate policies and procedures, to reduce related risks and achieve zero accidents/injuries
    • Assist with the implementation and development of Health and Safety Policies, Safe Work Procedures, Job Hazard Analysis, Safe Operating Procedures, Incident Investigations, and Training Programs
    • Conduct site visits to support end users in the field in relation to occupational health and safety requirements, make suggestions for improvements, and reduce injury.
    • Assist Director of Health, Safety, and Environment by auditing and reviewing operations within the workplace to develop recommendations to eliminate or control the risks.
    • Additional work-related requests as necessary

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Post-Secondary Education preferably majoring in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
    • Minimum of 5-7 years in a Health and Safety position in the electrical contracting industry would be considered an asset
    • Knowledge of all applicable Health and Safety Legislation and OHSA Regulations and the demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the legislation.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to deal with multiple and conflicting demands.
    • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to successfully perform independent in-depth analysis.
    • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Requires the ability to travel to various locations on a regular basis
