    Summary

    To start-up and maintain engineering defined molding processes, accurately document issues with tools / processes / and equipment, maintain tool PM and equipment PM, and assist with tool set-ups. Will require experience to work with Injection Molding Machines Robots (IMM).Must have experience in working with IMM’s of 70 ton to 1500 ton capacity.

    Key Work Performed

    • Starts up the process for a new tool set-up to the engineering defined process and monitors up-time of equipment.
    • Completes assigned machine and tool PM’s.
    • Accurately documents any issues with the tool / equipment / material / or process in Mold Process Book.
    • Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping tools and equipment clean and work area free of debris and parts.
    • Performs other duties as necessary.
    • Adheres to safety rules and ergonomic practices.

    Most difficult or most complex task or project performed by the jobholder:

    • To start-up a new tool set-up to the engineering defined process. Minor programing of IMM Robots (Wittman, Star, Sytrama and Sepro).

    Minimum Requirements 

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
    • 5 years’ experience as an injection-molding technician. In addition, electric pallet jack, forklift, and crane experience is preferred.

    Knowledge: A successful candidate must possess moderate mathematical skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using common numbers, common fractions, and decimals.) Must be able to have demonstrated basic computer knowledge – ability to work with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office and have knowledge of chemicals, chemical reactions, and safe operating temperatures of various materials.

    Skills and Abilities: A successful candidate must be able to communicate in both English and Spanish effectively. Must successfully pass the company’s Temecula Operations forklift exams and obtain a valid operator’s license and adhere to all safety and environmental rules and policies. They must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. They must be able to stand, sit, walk, stoop and bend for extended periods of time. They must be able to work in a fast paced environment. They must be able to work the required shift and be able to work overtime. A successful candidate must be able to provide the necessary tools to do their job.
