    Job Summary

    The Maintenance Coordinator will cover the maintenance activities, operation effectiveness and current/future planning of maintenance for the district/region.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Receive the work daily program from the Programmer and to verify reception of materials and the necessary tools.

    • Designate appropriate members of teams to execute the specified work.

    • Establish the performance goals with the Work team; to monitor and control work quality, quantity and safety in accordance with the policies and procedures of company. 

    • Encourage work team members, acknowledging achievements and correcting inadequate performance.

    • Guarantee that maintenance and operation programs are duly established and executed in accordance with specifications.

    • Verify entry of finished work orders with the actual resources, remarks for Maintenance records and any other information that may be necessary to enrich feedback of Work Orders.

    • Support and encourage efforts of the work team for continuous improvement and to maximize the team’s reliability and effectiveness.

    • Participate in the daily meeting of Planning and Advance.

    • Report all events and minor Maintenance and Operation works, in the shift’s report and in the open work order.

    • Support Team members in activities related to the Maintenance Program implementation and development program and particularly “Autonomous Maintenance”.

    • Report emergency works that were served, as well as applied labor and used resources.

    • Provide support to the maintenance planner in the parts, materials and external resources estimation stage.

    • Execute maintenance works according to the weekly / daily program.

    • Provide feedback to the execution program.

    • Provide feedback to emergency activities solved as well as resources applied.

    • Responsible for its work team safety.

    • Obtain the greatest use of its resources.

    • Ensure excellent quality in the execution of activities.

    • Ensure excellent operating conditions of the equipment.

    • Solve emergencies minimizing repair times.

    • Avoid equipment interruptions due to emergencies, ensuring operative continuity.

    • Have the highest equipment availability. Qualifications

    • 1 - 5 years of progressive maintenance experience in large industrial manufacturing industry

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

    • 5 years of experience in heavy industrial/heavy manufacturing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proven knowledge of Preventative and Predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies

    • Proven experience in execution of reliability methodologies such as RCA, RCI, FMFA, Statistical downtime analysis, Fishbone analysis, etc.

    • Proven experience in engineering, specification and design of mechanical systems, assets and projects

    • Excellent communication, team interaction and presentation skills

    • Proven ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on cross functional teams

    • Proven experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision

    • Proven understanding of electrical regulatory and industrial standards and codes

    • Proven understanding of control and instrumentation systems in an industrial manufacturing environment

    • CMRP or CRE status

    • Vibration Level 1 or 2 certification

    • Proven experience in CMMS systems

    • Proven knowledge of reliability methodologies and strategies such as RCM, TPM, Spare Parts Management, Planning and Scheduling Working Conditions

    • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise and working outdoors

    • Must wear all necessary protective equipment while at the location Physical Requirements

    • Required walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing to a significant degree

    • Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safety around heavy rolling equipment

    • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning and/or pulling of controls

    • Must pass DOT physical to include back x-ray, hearing test and drug/alcohol screening.
