An engineering firm that designs construction projects for industrial and municipal clients is searching for a Resident Project Representative (RPR) to monitor a construction contractor performance. Responsibilities • Observe construction work daily. Verify contractor’s compliance with drawings and specifications. • Maintain daily log documenting contractor’s performance. Supplement log with photographs. • Chair weekly project meetings to review contractor’s performance. • Receive technical submittals from contractor and forward them to the appropriate discipline engineer who will confirm compliance with project requirements. • Receive Requests for Information (RFI’s) and forward them to the appropriate discipline engineer for response. • Confirm that contractor is maintaining red-line as-built drawings throughout the construction period. • Review contractor’s monthly pay requests. • Manage positive relationships with project owner and contractors. Qualifications • Minimum of 10 years of industrial or utility construction experience. • Municipal water pump station experience is a plus. • General knowledge of all construction disciplines (piping, power, controls, structural, and civil). • Good communication skills. • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred but not required. • Very high level of attention to detail. Ability to quality-review work. • Strong team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills. • Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook. Compensation Range: $70,000 - $100,000 plus bonus The final agreed upon compensation will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to education, prior work experience, and references. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
