    Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Manager, Amazon Account for one of our clients in Southern California.  This is a direct hire opportunity. 

    Position Summary

    The Senior Manager, Amazon Account will be directly responsible for the execution of the strategic growth plan of accounts under his/her scope. This role collaborates closely with the Demand Planning and brands teams as well as internal and external partners to identify and execute all business needs/opportunities to manage the successful execution of all aspects of the business. This includes, but is not limited to portfolio management, catalog content planning, item setup/maintenance, promotional/merchandising/ forecasting, business analysis, and advertising. This person is responsible to execute with a 'champion-of-the-business' mindset and maximizes channel performance by continuously optimizing across marketing, merchandising, operations, and portfolio levers. This person will play an integral role in inspiring a high-performance culture as well as enabling the company's vision, mission, and values across the company. This role reports to the Associate Vice President, Amazon Account.

    Essential Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities

    Amazon

    • Monitor Amazon product catalog, 2,500+ SKUs, and maintain products’ health ensuring correct items are set up, selling, and are in best condition possible to convert standing for Amazon
    • Execution of product page maintenance and digital asset execution
    • Track and analyze ASIN performance, rankings, ratings, and customer reviews
    • Build actionable insights from Amazon and other marketplace data analytics that can be converted directly into strategy
    • Review competitor product listings to identify best practices, new product opportunities, and areas in need of improvements
    • Ability to spot trends and turn insights into actionable items
    • Monitor marketing performance and spend for keyword campaigns and product ads
    • Analyze sales performance on a weekly basis, prepare internal reports / monitoring of daily run rate, glance view rate, and conversion rate
    • Stay abreast of all changes to the Amazon platform; make sure the company is poised to benefit from any feature/product/tool releases to improve productivity and leverage growth opportunities
    • Business analysis and the ability to turn complex data into tangible reports
    • Forecasting and assisting our demand planning department with weekly reviews of product demand changes with the ability to adjust our procurement schedule
    • Own product pricing
    • ROI reviews on major promotions/initiatives
    • Full ownership of a discount/promotional calendar, set up all promotions across all brands, analyze details at the item level for profitability, inventory availability, and sell through

    Advertising

    • Develop and continuously refine an AMS/PPC strategy to drive profitable growth, making sure customer acquisition costs fit within our product margin model, connect with our team at amazon to ensure all paid efforts are running smoothly with emphasis on ROI, and manage products to include in Ads that align with company focus
    • Ability to turn Advertising data into an actionable dashboard
    • Analysis of advertising methods with an ability to bring new ideas and execute such ideas independently

    Operations

    • Work to improve overall operating procedures with cross functional departments
    • Assist Order processing with weekly PO drops.
    • Forecast, measure dynamic growth, and plan procurement

    Content Management

    • Work directly with all brand teams to ensure all content and imagery is on plan for every single item that is launching
    • Oversee Digital Content Specialist and establish standard operating procedures and strategies to ensure our success
    • Upload and optimize product listings, content, visual assets, and conversion rates
    • Execution of merchandising strategy, ability to harvest keywords, and create SEO enriched content
    • Oversee and assist with Salsify (product management system) data

    General

    • Perform other duties as needed and directed by management

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field preferred
    • Enterprise-level Vendor Central Experience is a MUST
    • 3+ Years of Marketing or Brand Experience and past experience selling products as vendor via Amazon is a MUST
    • 3+ Years of CPG experience
    • 3+ Years of managerial experience, as a team leader

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint); expert-level Excel abilities a plus
    • Detail-oriented ability to multi-task and an appreciation for a fast-paced, deadline- driven environment
    • Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e. web-based reports, databases and various multimedia technologies)
    • Ability to think creatively and comfortable providing input around innovation & new concepts
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be a brand advocate and team player
    • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
