Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant - Fixed Assets for one of our clients in the Las Vegas area.  This is a direct hire opportunity. 

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant supports a variety of mid-level accounting duties, which include day-to-day activities and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Post monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries for PP&E
• Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliation for PP&E and related balance sheet accounts
• Assist with developing CAPEX budgets
• Create, maintain, and close capital projects
• Generate spend reports for open projects
• Prepare ADHOC fixed asset reports for management and operations
• Prepare audit schedules and complete requests from external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits
• Properly execute controls to ensure compliance with JSOX
• Provide support as needed to other members of the corporate accounting team

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree, Accounting preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP financial reporting
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Self-starter and strong work ethic
• Team-player and flexible
• Available to work extended hours and potentially weekends as needed to meet month-end or audit deadlines
• Manufacturing and SAP experience are musts

Compensation $70,000-$90,000 DOE
