Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, is currently looking for a Controller for one of our clients in downtown El Paso.  This is a direct hire opportunity with a dynamic company.

Controller Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares US GAAP financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis for our clients in a variety of industries.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information in to QuickBooks or Accounting Software used by our clients.
• Files monthly, quarterly sales taxes, hotel taxes, EFTPS payroll payments as needed.
• File and review 941,940TWC, NM CRS & Workers Comp reports
• Experience with payroll preparation and liability payment.
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Communicate with clients on a daily weekly, monthly, basis.
• Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks, verifying finished product.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Working hours are 8:00 – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with occasional seasonal overtime. Company offers flex schedule, 401k matching, health insurance.

• Experience with financial reporting requirements
