    Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, is looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer position for our client located in Brooksville, FL. This is a permanent position, offering great benefits and strong growth potential.

    Job Summary

    The overall objective of the Reliability Engineer is to ensure safe and reliable operation of production facilities at the lowest life cycle cost. Support planning of major and specialized maintenance jobs. Collaborate and participate in operations and maintenance jobs, developing and executing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activity programs, and providing technical support to maintenance and operations functions in continuous improvement activities.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • To develop and to propose preventative, predictive and autonomous maintenance plans that equipment’s require from their start-up and throughout their life cycle, specifying and updating frequency for each maintenance task, based on a normal operation and on the objectives of the maintenance function.
    • To suggest specific activities for inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and change of parts to equipment’s, based on recommendations from the manufacturer, the supplier and from the own experience of the personnel in the Plant, to timely detect and/or to avoid equipment deterioration
    • To provide technical support and follow up to major and highly specialized maintenance jobs.
    • To direct work required for investigation costs of performances that seem to be out-of-line and recommend corrective actions.
    • To support and to promote technical development of personnel or work teams according to total productive maintenance.
    • To collaborate with technical office about the specification of new equipment, assuring reliability of operation and lowest of life cycle.
    • To control design and specifications of new parts or components that will be manufactured by a central (internal) workshop or by and external contractor.
    • To plan major shutdown work requests with a high degree of specialization, regarding instructions, human resources estimates, materials, special tools and estimated duration of the job.
    • Own and lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process (including meetings) for major failures to ensure prevention of re-occurrence
    • Perform vibration analysis.
    • Responsible for Tribology and analysis of the information.
    • Responsible of the generation of Notifications created from the Vibration Analysis and Tribology reports.
    • To ensure that new equipment handovers come with operation guides, troubleshooting guides and any relevant standard works
    • Utilize Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement of reliability
    • Adhere to all company, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
    • Meet or exceed company safety standards


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • 7 years of experience in heavy industrial/heavy manufacturing


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proven knowledge of Preventative and Predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies
    • Proven experience in execution of reliability methodologies such as RCA, RCI, FMFA, Statistical downtime analysis, Fishbone analysis, etc.
    • Proven experience in engineering, specification and design of mechanical systems, assets and projects
    • Excellent communication, team interaction and presentation skills
    • Proven ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on cross functional teams
    • Proven experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision
    • Proven understanding of electrical regulatory and industrial standards and codes
    • Proven understanding of control and instrumentation systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
    • CMRP or CRE status
    • Vibration Level 1 or 2 certification
    • Proven experience in CMMS systems
    • Proven knowledge of reliability methodologies and strategies such as RCM, TPM, Spare Parts Management, Planning and Scheduling
