General Summary:

To troubleshoot and repair of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical failures; performs preventive maintenance and repairs on Injection Molding Machines ranging from 70-1500 Ton, and equipment according to a scheduled system while maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Key Work Performed :

• Works with injection molding machines and all related equipment to ensure smooth and safe operation. Assists in the troubleshooting of Hydraulic, Electrical, Pneumatic, and Mechanical systems to properly repair and maintain equipment.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and periodic inspections on primary molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Lubricates and cleans parts.  
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Troubleshoots mechanical failures. Repairs or places defective parts. 
• Maintains spare parts inventory. Orders parts.
• Computer work as workload dictates.
• Keeps an accurate record of work performed.Performs other routine duties as necessary.
• Keeps work areas clear and free of debris.
• Adheres to safety rules and ergonomic practices.

To perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and periodic inspections on production machinery and equipment

Minimum Requirements 

• High School Education or GED.
• 3-5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have extensive knowledge of injection molding machines and related equipment including, but not limited to; Hydraulic Injection Molding Machines, Electric Injection Molding Machines, 3-Axis Cartesian Robots, Water Chiller/Tower Systems, Thermolators, Dryers, etc.

Skills and Abilities:

Mechanical troubleshooting skills, electrical troubleshooting skills. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on as needed basis. Must be able to stand, sit, walk, stoop and bend for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work the required shift. Must be able to work overtime. Must own necessary tools.
