    Overview:

    We are seeking reliable and skilled manufacturing operators to join our team at our facility in Fraser, MI. As a surface grind or CNC machine operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the machines to produce precision carbide tooling and inserts. Experience with carbide and/or experience in a manufacturing setting is preferable but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate surface grind or CNC machines

    • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents

    • Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure optimal performance

    • Inspect product during production for quality and accuracy

    • Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary

    • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the grinding process

    • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment

    • Maintain accurate records of production and machine maintenance via Time Tickets.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience operating surface grind or CNC machines, specifically for carbide
    • Relibaility - You will be counted on to work 50+ hours a week and continue getting better at your craft
    • Knowledge of grinding techniques, tools, and materials
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and work orders
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of precision
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
    • Physical stamina to stand for long periods
    • High school diploma or equivalent
